Artist's Biography
My name is Mark and I have made hemp jewelry for over 25 years. Making jewelry is my way to express myself and work on my fine-motor skills. I have Cerebral Palsy. This disorder affects my speech and coordination. In addition to making jewelry, I hold three college degrees and am a self-published author. I also enjoy watching sports, learning how to speak Mandarin Chinese, and spending time with my cats!

Through the Years
FhatHemp was created, in 1995; though, I made bracelets with yarn, before that time. Through the years, my little idea has grown into a business that has opened the door to opportunity. I sold my hemp jewelry at private parties, fundraising events, and professional conferences. I have also made customized jewelry for marketing events, small companies, and items for memorial gatherings.

What it Means to Me
I am emotionally invested in every piece that I make, and every item represents a small part of my soul. Making hemp jewelry has never lost its joy. Every time I finish a project, I get the same feeling of pride that I did as a young boy. In addition, it is extremely humbling to know that people support my work.
